About
Dr. Marian Stansbury
|
Marriage
and Family Therapist -
Trained Life Coach |
 |
In many ways,
I have always been fascinated by what makes people tick. An elementary
school friend told me, as an adult, that I was the only childhood friend who
ever asked her what it felt like to be adopted. I also was motivated by the
fears and anxieties that my mother experienced that I couldn't alleviate for
her. |
|
I began my professional work in the
field of Speech and Hearing Therapy and parent education for families of
children with mental retardation. I was a family therapist and individual
counselor for adolescents in a psychiatric hospital for ten years while
finishing my graduate work. Both my Masters degree and my Ph.D. in Family
Relations and Human Development are from Ohio State University. |
|
I am a
licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Connecticut, a trained personal
life Coach, and am licensed as a Professional Clinical Counselor in Ohio. I
also have been interested in transpersonal and spiritual aspects that lead
to each individual fulfilling their human potential and becoming all they
can be in all aspects of their life. I seek out the tools that I believe
are the most effective in this process. I am constantly updating and
upgrading my skills with classes and additional training. |
| |
My
goal is to help you discover more about who you are, what you want, and how
to make your life work the way you truly desire.
