| CHILDREN AND
TEENS Children
and teenagers are growing up in a very different world than the one that raised their
parents. But while the pressures and stresses have increased, so have the tools we
can use to deal with them.
Now we can
identify behavior, eating and learning disorders. We realize the impact divorce has
on youngsters. We are aware of the need to support the self-esteem of girls in early
adolescence. We understand the dynamics of peer pressure and blended
families. And now we have ways to effectively deal with all of them.
My ten years of experience working with adolescents in a
psychiatric hospital gives me additional perspective in dealing with children and teens.
I've seen first-hand the importance of early and effective intervention.
Kids of all ages enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of my
office. For younger children, I have a special room outfitted with toys, children's
videos, even a teddy bear. If your
child is struggling with an emotional problem, give me a call and let's talk about how we
can work together to help.
